Reason Why WWE Will Not Mention Much About Bobby Lashley’s First Run With The Company
Many have noticed that upon his return, WWE has not really talked about Bobby Lashley’s first run with the company, and the is apparently a lot of reasons factoring in to WWE’s inability to promote any of Lashley’s previous work.
WWE is not allowed to mention Bobby Lashley’s time in TNA Impact Wrestling or his wrestling outside of the company, and they also has restrictions on discussing his MMA career as WWE does not like to promote anything that falls outside of the company. But to make things worse, WWE is also not allowing his first run with the company to be discussed much due to his involvement in the past with the current President of The United States – Donald Trump.
Many fans only associate Lashley’s first WWE run, with his connection to Trump and the Hair vs Hair match at WrestleMania, and WWE has a no politics policy in place and refuses to mention Donald Trump in fear of insulting a large portion of their audience.
Dave Meltzer discussed Lashley’s current situation in WWE on today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. Regarding Lashley, Meltzer said:
“They can’t even talk about his first run there because the only thing anyone knows is Trump and they’re banned from talking about Trump because they’re afraid of insulting the half of their audience who hates Trump or more than half of their audience that hates Trump and the Mexican-American audience and all that so they can’t even talk about it. So it’s poor Bobby just… whatever.”
