WWE Reported To Have Done All They Can In Order To Sign Kenny Omega
As we reported the other day, Kenny Omega is finished with New Japan following Wrestle Kingdom 13. This weekend is a big one for Omega as he has probably one of the most important decisions of his career to make.
It has been reported that WWE made a huge multi-million dollar offer to Omega. While there are conflicting reports over the amount of money on the table, it was told to me from a reliable source that I “would be surprised” over how high the figure really is.
A new report from Wrestle Votes it sounds like WWE has done everything they can in effort to sign Kenny Omega.
“Texted a source regarding Omega & WWE’s offer to him. Got back “If they don’t land him, it’s not their fault for lack of effort. They’ve done what they can”
Translation: WWE wants Omega. I’m assuming the offer is strong, especially financially. Decision is all his at this point”
New Japan Pro Wrestling held one of their most watched events of the year today as part of Wrestle Kingdom weekend, when the put on their annual New Years Dash event. Noticeably missing from today’s event was any appearances from members of The Elite, especially Kenny Omega.
This goes along with what I had exclusively reported prior to Friday’s Wrestle Kingdom 13 event, and that is that Kenny Omega has wrapped up his time with New Japan this weekend, which appears now to indeed be the case.
It has also been rumored that WWE wants Omega’s decision by Monday on whether or not he plans to sign with the company. Which makes sense being that the newly launched All Elite Wrestling is planning on holding a huge company rally in Jacksonville on Tuesday, and is expected to be making some big announcements at the event.
One thing is for certain and that is that Kenny Omega is arguably the biggest free agent on the market right now.
