Yuya Aoki Defeats Takuya Nomura To Retain BJW World STRONG Heavyweight Title, New Challenger Emerges

On March 20th, the current Big Japan Pro-Wrestling World STRONG Heavyweight Champion Yuya Aoki put his title on the line against the very dangerous Takuya Nomura. After what many fans are calling a classic, Aoki was able to overcome the challenge of Nomura and put him away with his Kesagiri Chop to score a pinfall at the 19 minute 43 second mark of the battle.

Aoki stated prior to the match that he never wants to lose to Nomura and that he wants to “surpass” Nomura in BJW. On March 20th, in front of over 550 fans, Aoki proved was the better competitor than Nomura on that night.

Aoki is less than two months away from reaching a major milestone of holding the Big Japan Pro-Wrestling World Strong Heavyweight Championship for one year.

Following his victory, Aoki took the microphone and addressed the crowd. In the process he nominated Daichi Hashimoto as his next challenger.

Hashimoto is undefeated against Aoki in singles competition. The BJW World STRONG Heavyweight Title match between Aoki and Hashimoto is scheduled for May 4th at Yokohama Budokan.
