WWE Monday Night Raw Review (June 24th)

WWE aired Raw live from Indianapolis Indiana inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse as we are still on the road to Money In The Bank.

Kicking off this week’s Raw with Michael Cole try to throw to a video of the Wyatt Sicks but before he can Drew McIntyre storms past them and gets in the ring.

Drew McIntyre says everyone was talking about quitting WWE, but now they’re all talking about him attacking CM Punk this past Friday on Smackdown and throws it to a video of such. He then says he prayed for something like this to happen and adds that he’s done with fans chanting for Punk. He says fans have spent months listening and watching what Punk has done to him and yet they still want to see him. He says anyone chanting Punk’s name is dead to him then addresses Punk directly and tells him he hopes that he’s uncomfortable and being fed through a straw.

McIntyre says he didn’t just take Punk’s dignity, but a bracelet with Punk’s wife and dog’s name on it. He holds up the bracelet as he says he knows how much it means to Punk then says he wears it when he leaves home so he can take them with him as to not feel alone. He says Punk is in pain and miserable because of him then declares that he will be entering the Money In The Bank Ladder Match as Punk lays at home.

McIntyre says he knows what it’s like to be alone then says he’s not alone anymore. He puts on Punk’s bracelet and says he has Punk’s family with him in his corner now. He promises to win the Money In The Bank briefcase on the same night he wins it to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

We then head over to a video showing the debut of the Wyatt Sicks last week.

Chad Gable was shown arriving in the parking area. Gable told the cameraman that he wouldn’t do this now. 4 security guards surrounded shades wearing Gable, who covered his face as they walked through the parking garage area.

After the break Cathy Kelley stood outside of Chad Gable’s dressing room where a couple of security guards were stationed. She spoke about how other wrestlers told her that they were shocked that he showed up. Kelley said she had yet to confirm the extent of his injuries and hoped to find out more about him and the other victims.

Ludwig Kaiser was interviewed by Jackie Redmond at the Gorilla Position. Kaiser accused Breakker of viciously attacking him last week. Kaiser said he would prove to everyone that he is destined for greatness and that Breakker is not him.

Bron Breakker vs. Ludwig Kaiser

Match starts off with a lock up before Ludwig Kaiser shoves Bron Breakker then fires off a few strikes on him.

Breakker responds with a series of right hands and a shoulder tackle but Kaiser sends him colliding with the ropes and rains down right hands on him.

Breakker sends Kaiser crashing into the corner then fires off shoulders on his midsection.

Kaiser trips Breakker then rains down more right hands on him then connects with a kick and sends him crashing into the ring post shoulder first.

He then dropkicks him out of the ring and hits a kick but Breakker sends him crashing into the ring apron spine first.

He hits a clothesline off it that sends himself and Kaiser crashing over the announce desk as we go to a break.

After the break Kaiser looks to hit Breakker with several chops as Breakker stays standing then fires off right hands on Kaiser and lands a back elbow.

He sends Kaiser crashing into the mat then connects with a German suplex on him and lands a clothesline in the corner.

He sits him on the top turnbuckle and joins him up there then hits a hurricanrana and gets fired up.

Breakker gets Kaiser over his head and looks to send him crashing out of the ring but Kaiser escapes.

Breakker then throws Kaiser out of the ring with a belly 2 belly throw and charges at him but Kaiser sees him coming and sends him crashing into the ring steps.

Kaiser charges at Breakker but Sheamus intercepts him to cause the disqualification.

Winner By DQ: Ludwig Kaiser

After the match Sheamus clears the announce desk and looks to send Kaiser crashing through it but Breakker then spears both men and is left standing tall.

Dominik Mysterio was eating chicken nuggets while Finn Balor, JD McDonagh & Carlito played WWE 2K24. World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest arrived. Mysterio told him that they were gifts from Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. Carlito said Morgan helped him win his match last week and she can’t be all that bad.

Priest asked Mysterio when the distractions from Morgan would end. Mysterio showed Priest a photo on his phone that was not shown on television. The others stopped what they were doing and looked at the photo. That’s cool said a bug eyed Carlito. Priest said Mysterio would need to explain to Rhea Ripley how Morgan got his number.

Mysterio said he didn’t know how she got it. Priest said he would end things with Morgan tonight. After Mysterio left the room Priest gave the others a guilt trip for playing games when they should be focused on taking out Braun Strowman. Once Priest left Balor told the others that they need to take care of Strowman.

After the break we see Bron Breakker demand that Adam Pearce do something about people interfering in his matches. Sami Zayn then appears and offers Breakker a shot at the Intercontinental Title at any time and any place he wants. Breakker tells him he wants it at Money In The Bank and Pearce makes it official.

Triple Threat Women’s Money In The Bank Qualifying Match
Lyra Valkyria vs. Shayna Baszler vs. Kairi Sane

Kairi Sane goes after Lyra Valkyria as she lands a kick on Shayna Baszler but Valkyria pins her but Sane kicks out and Valkyria sends her crashing into the corner.

Baszler then runs her over with a clothesline and sends Sane crashing into the mat then goes for a pin.

Sane kicks out and Baszler whips Valkyria into the corner.

Valkyria trips Baszler then hits a Northern Lights suplex to her and goes for a pin. Sane breaks the fall then levels both Valkyria & Baszler.

She then ascends to the top rope and hits a crossbody to them on the outside as we go to a break.

After the break Sane sends Baszler crashing into the ring apron but Valkyria hits Sane with a dropkick through the ropes and gets her back inside the ring.

She hits a dropkick off the top rope and follows it up with a suplex then goes for a pin.

Sane kicks out and Baszler hits Valkyria with a suplex. Sane whips Baszler into the mat then drags her over to the corner and ascends to the top rope.

She looks to land In Sane Elbow but Baszler blocks it and looks to cinch in Kirifuda Clutch as Valkyria rolls her up before she can but Baszler kicks out.

Valkyria lands an enzuigiri on Baszler and looks to land one on Sane but Sane avoids it.

Valkyria then hits Night Wing to Sane and goes for a pin but Baszler breaks the fall with a kick.

Sane ascends to the top rope but Baszler catches her with an enzuigiri.

Valkyria gets Baszler up on her shoulders, but Baszler cinches in Kirifuda Clutch on her.

Valkyria transitions into a pinfall and Sane lands an In Sane Elbow on Baszler then Valkyria connects with Night Wing on Sane for the win.

Winner & Gets Into The Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Lyra Valkyria

Backstage Drew McIntyre argued with Adam Pearce about deserving a spot in the Money In The Bank Ladder match. Pearce said everyone has to qualify especially since he quit last week. Pearce told him he didn’t deserve it after disrupting both shows. McIntyre asked if he deserved what Punk has done to him. McIntyre said he believes that Pearce will do the right thing. McIntyre said Pearce would find out the meaning of disruption if he did not.

After the break a video package aired with Triple H & Pat McAfee touting WWE’s deal to bring the 2025 Royal Rumble event and future WrestleMania & SummerSlam events to Indianapolis

Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan says since she couldn’t get Dominik Mysterio’s attention backstage she wanted to come down to the ring. She says she hopes he enjoyed her gifts then says she knows what he really wants. She tells Mysterio Rhea Ripley has never gotten her any gifts and doesn’t care about him. She calls Mysterio out to the ring to thank her for the gifts and give him another one.

Zelina Vega’s music hits and she makes her way out. Vega says she has a gift for fans, and that’s making Morgan quiet. She says she doesn’t know why Morgan is chasing Mysterio then says she’s forgot about the Women’s World Title. She says she’s coming for it, and Morgan tells Vega she hasn’t forgotten about her title. She gloats about taking out Ripley & Becky Lynch but Vega tells her she’s too worried about having fun. She says her why will always trump Morgan’s pursuit of Mysterio then challenges her to a Women’s World Title match tonight. Morgan tells Vega she’s busy and calls Mysterio out to the ring once again.

Mysterio’s music hits and he appears. Morgan asks him if he liked the gifts she got him and Mysterio says while he got the gifts, he didn’t like them. Morgan says she knows Mysterio liked the text she sent and Vega asks what’s going on. Vega says if Morgan was too afraid to fight, she didn’t have to bring her man out to the ring. Mysterio says he’s not Morgan’s man and says if Vega wants to go after Morgan’s title, he wants to help her. He tells Vega he knows she’s had her differences with Ripley but he wants the title on anyone but Morgan.

Vega tells Mysterio she doesn’t need his help. Morgan then attacks Vega and they begin brawling. Rey Mysterio then shows up to pull Morgan off Vega but Mysterio shoves him and leaves the ring. Morgan chases after him.

Cathy Kelley stood outside Chad Gable’s dressing room and said that medical personnel checked on him and Adam Pearce was in the room. Pearce came out and said Gable was cleared to compete. Kelley asked about Gable’s mental state. Pearce said that’s not his story to tell.

A Seth Rollins video package aired.

After the break Dominik Mysterio was walking backstage while telling Liv Morgan to leave him alone. Morgan thanked Mysterio for being her hero. She said Mysterio saved her from his deadbeat dad. Mysterio said he just doesn’t like him. Morgan said now she knows that Dom wants this just as badly as she does. Morgan hugged Dom, who held his arms up in the air and then walked away.

World Tag Team Champion R Truth showed up and spoke about Dom being a reluctant hero and said those are the best kind. Truth said he loves it when love is in the air. Truth said Mysterio seemed to be playing hard to get. Morgan said she wanted to do something nice for Mysterio and his friends. She said she thought she would get Mysterio a match against his father next week and and asked Truth if she could get a World Tag Team Title match for Finn Balor & JD McDonagh. Truth agreed to the match. Morgan told Truth to make sure he got the match approved by Adam Pearce.

Chad Gable asked the fans if they believe in miracles. He said the rumors of his demise were greatly exaggerated. Gable said he can’t be killed and then declared that he will win Money In The Bank and call himself Master in the Bank.

Triple Threat Money In The Bank Qualifying Match
Braun Strowman vs. Chad Gable vs. Bronson Reed

Chad Gable fires off chops on Bronson Reed & Braun Strowman but both men stay standing.

Strowman hits Gable with a chop then Strowman stares down Reed and they lock up.

Strowman hits Reed with a shoulder tackle but Reed low bridges him to the outside.

Gable looks to land a German suplex on Reed but Reed blocks it and looks to dump him on top of Strowman.

Strowman catches Gable & Reed hits a tope suicida to level them both as we go to a break.

After the break Gable has an arm bar locked in on Strowman using the ropes then hits a dropkick to Reed but Reed looks to land a running senton on him.

Gable sees him coming, then goes after both men in opposite corners.

Reed then hits splashes to Strowman and Gable in opposite corners but Strowman dumps Gable on top of Reed and runs Gable over with a running shoulder tackle on the outside.

Reed sends Strowman crashing to the outside, but Gable lands a German suplex on Reed and goes for a pin. Reed kicks out and Strowman sends him crashing into the ring post on the outside.

He then bodyslams him onto the floor before Judgment Day attacks Strowman and beats him down on the ramp.

Back in the ring Gable hits a moonsault off the top rope to Reed for the win.

Winner & Gets Into The Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Chad Gable

After the match the lights go out & smoke surrounds Gable in the ring, and the Wyatt Sicks’ music starts playing. Nikki Cross crawls into the ring and makes her way towards Gable, but Gable slides out of the ring. She then slides out of the ring, and grabs a box. She places it on the announce desk and walks off through the crowd.

After the break Michael Cole reveals the box Cross gave him was addressed to Pat McAfee. He opens it to reveal a VHS tape with play me written on it. He gives it to someone to take to the production truck to play.

Backstage Chad Gable knocked on a locker room door. Otis, Maxxine Dupri & Akira Tozawa came out. Gable claimed that his life flashed before his eyes last week and he saw all of them. Gable called them family. He said it takes a big man to admit when he’s wrong. He said he may have stepped over the line once or twice and then apologized. Gable said families fight but they stick together.

Otis said that anybody who hurts Dupri & Tozawa is not family. Otis said he meant what he said, they’re done. Otis & Tozawa returned to their dressing room. Dupri told Gable that he hurt Otis as he saw him as a big brother. Dupri said that what happened to Gable must have been terrifying. She said she thinks Otis just needs some time and she would talk to him. Dupri said she was sorry about what happened to Gable.

Creed Brothers & Ivy Nile approached Gable and asked if he okay. Gable said he was not, he needs help

Non Title Match
Women’s Tag Team Champions The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) vs. Kayden Carter & Katana Chance

Kayden Carter sends The Unholy Union out of the ring as she lands a dropkick on them then sends Katana Chance colliding into them to take them out as we go to a break.

After the break Carter has a reverse knee bar locked in on Fyre but Fyre makes her way to the bottom rope to break the fall then tags in Dawn.

The Unholy Union look to level Carter with a double suplex but Carter blocks them and sends them crashing into the mat. Carter then lands a kick on Dawn then tags in Chance.

Chance & Carter hits Keg Stand and Chance pins Dawn but Dawn kicks out.

Fyre then tags in and hits Gory Bomb/Russian leg sweep combination with Dawn for the win.

Winners: Women’s Tag Team Champions The Unholy Union

After the match Damage CTRL appears and attacks The Unholy Union, Carter & Chance. Iyo Sky hits Over The Moonsault to both The Unholy Union.

Damian Priest was shown entering the Judgment Day clubhouse just as Liv Morgan was leaving. Priest said he hoped that Dominik Mysterio had just ended things. Priest entered the room and Finn Balor was seated on the couch. Priest spoke about how it looked sketchy. Balor said Morgan got Dominik a match against Rey Mysterio next week and also got him and McDonagh a World Tag Team Title shot later in the show. They agreed that it seemed too good to be true. Priest wished Balor good luck with his title match. Balor’s expression changed once Priest left and then he rolled his eyes and shook his head.

After the break we go backstage where The Miz caught up with R Truth and hoped he had yet to speak to Adam Pearce. Truth said he had and then spoke about how he did it for love. Truth called it a classic romcom. Miz said it’s not about Liv Morgan & Dominik Mysterio it’s about them. Truth said he loves Miz but only as a friend.

World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest says he understands why Seth Rollins said he sees himself in him during a video that played earlier tonight given the similarities they share. He says he sees someone he doesn’t want to become in Rollins and says while Rollins is great as long as he’s World Heavyweight Champion Rollins will never see the mountain top again.

Rollins’ music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. He welcomes fans to Monday Night Rollins, and asks Priest if he wants to run his mouth about him. He clarifies Priest’s statement about him never climbing the mountain top again, and says the problem is that he doesn’t believe him. He says he thinks Priest’s confidence isn’t real and says no one buys him as the mountain top because his actions don’t line up with his words. He says Priest says all the right things such as saying he doesn’t need help defending his title, but both his title defenses have proven otherwise with people helping him retain his title.

Priest says he sees where Rollins is coming from, but he never asked anyone to interfere in his defenses. He says he can’t change what happened, but he can stand facing Rollins in the present. He says he sees the past when he looks for Rollins & Rollins says he doesn’t appreciate being one upped. He says Priest one upped him last week by offering him a title shot and says he came to one up Priest tonight. Rollins says per a gentleman’s agreement, he will never challenge for the World Heavyweight Title as long as Priest holds the title but if Priest loses, he must leave Judgment Day. Priest says he likes the proposal and says Judgment Day needs him more than he needs Judgment Day. He accepts Rollins’ proposal and they shake hands.

Gunther’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. He says he fully understands that there’s a lot on the line for both Priest & Rollins at Money In The Bank then wishes them both the best of luck and tells them that he’ll be waiting for whoever holds the title at SummerSlam.

Michael Cole then says that the production truck has tracked down a VHS tape to play what Nikki Cross left for Pat McAfee earlier tonight. On the tape Uncle Howdy asks someone if he’s happy and feels as though he’s been forgotten about. He asks if he’s forgotten who he is, and we head over to see Bo Dallas. Dallas says he’s no one and Uncle Howdy asks him how he felt when Bray Wyatt. Dallas says it felt like the most important thing in his life was taken away from him and nothing would ever matter again. Uncle Howdy asks Dallas if he’s exploiting Wyatt’s legacy and Dallas says all he wanted all his life was to be like Wyatt. He says he looked up to him and wanted to be like him. He says he worked his entire life and career to be like Wyatt and says the 2 of them were going to rule together. He says it was all taken away from him and says not one person on Earth feels like what he feels. He says everyone wanted to forget about him & Wyatt but the Wyatt Sicks made them remember. Uncle Howdy agrees that they did.

Kofi Kingston vs. Karrion Kross

Kofi Kingston wastes no time as he hits a dropkick to Karrion Kross then flies over the top rope to level him. He gets him back inside the ring and ascends to the top rope then looks to fly.

Kross sees Kingston coming and hits a backbreaker to him then follows it up with a Death Valley Driver as we go to a break.

After the break Kingston flies off the top rope to level Kross then catches him with a kick but Kross sends Kingston into the corner.

Kingston flies off the ropes to hit Kross with a crossbody then connects with Boom Drop.

Kingston becomes distracted when a video plays of Authors Of Pain attacking Xavier Woods as Paul Ellering stands by on the Titan Tron.

Kross takes advantage of Kingston being distracted and hits The Final Prayer for the win.

Winner: Karrion Kross

After the break we head over to a video recapping Jacob Fatu’s debut this past Friday on Smackdown.

World Tag Team Titles Match
Awesome Truth (The Miz & R Truth) (c) vs. Judgement Day (JD McDonagh & Finn Balor)

JD McDonagh goes straight after R Truth as he fires off kicks on him before Balor tags in before Truth levels Balor then tags in The Miz.

Awesome Truth hits a double back elbow and a double elbow drop to Balor then hit a double hip toss to McDonagh and a double flapjack to Balor.

They clothesline McDonagh out of the ring as Liv Morgan marches down to the ring and looks at Balor as we go to a break.

After the break McDonagh tags in and flies off the ropes before Balor tags in and hits a right hand to Truth’s midsection, but Truth lands a kick on him.

They hit each other before Miz tags in and hits a clothesline in the corner to McDonagh.

Dominik Mysterio & Carlito appear at ringside and Miz sends Carlito crashing over the announce desk.

He hits a crossbody to McDonagh from the apron then delivers a double DDT to Judgement Day.

He then pins McDonagh but McDonagh kicks out then Mysterio hops up on the apron and McDonagh tries taking advantage.

Miz kicks out and lands Skull Crushing Finale then goes for a pin.

Carlito puts McDonagh’s foot on the bottom rope to break the fall but Braun Strowman chases him from ringside. Balor & Truth tag in and Truth hits a pair of shoulder tackles to Balor.

He sets up for 5 Knuckle Shuffle but Balor sees him coming before Truth locks in a STF on Balor but McDonagh breaks the hold. He intercepts Miz with a dropkick but Truth hits him.

Balor rolls up Truth, but Truth kicks out and sends Balor crashing into the mat then hits 10 Knuckle Shuffle to Judgement Day.

Morgan hops up on the apron and hugs Truth but surprises him with a jawbreaker using the top rope.

Balor takes advantage and dropkicks Truth into the corner, then follows it up with a Cup De Grace for the win.
