As was reported yesterday, since Anthem Media is no longer pursuing the “BROKEN” gimmick legally it was expected that WWE and Matt Hardy would.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer indicated in the latest installment that WWE will be tweaking the gimmick slightly. Apparently they will no longer refer to the gimmick as “BROKEN” but will instead be using the term “WOKEN”.
Hardy has even started using the #WOKEN on his Twitter account as you can see below:
It should also be noted that Jeff Hardy is expected to be returning from injury sometime soon. It is expected that when he does return that he will be using some “WOKEN” form of the Brother NERO gimmick.
