Backstage Update On Impact Wrestling TV Tapings & Anthem Media
After holding the previous set of Impact Wrestling TV Tapings from Canada, it’s been reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that the next set of tapings are being recording at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. As you may know while under the TNA banner, Impact Wrestling called Universal Studios and Orlando home for years.
It was announced at the previous set of Impact Wrestling TV Tapings from Ottawa, that Anthem is relocated the company’s homebase from Nashville to Toronto; Where Anthem Media, Impact’s parent company already calls home.
The next set of TV Tapings in Orlando are scheduled to be recorded January 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th, 2018. Impact Wrestling will record TV episodes through March 2018 on these dates. Plans are in place for Impact Wrestling to travel back North across the border to Canada for the March tapings, but not in Ottawa; as it has been known to be a tough city to draw a solid crowd.
The Observer also discussed future plans for Impact Wrestling Television Tapings, saying that it is believed they will hold more tapings in Canada going forward. Anthem is said to be doing everything they can at the moment to cut costs and trim their budget. Holding the Impact Wrestling tapings from Canada are far less expensive than running in Orlando, or elsewhere in the United States. Anthem Media has been doing everything that can to keep the company from losing money, and with a significant part of the roster’s contracts expiring soon it will be interesting to see what other ways they try and save.
