The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Impact Wrestling will not be a January Pay Per View Event in 2018.
In previous years the company held their Genesis PPV in January. However, the first Genesis PPV actually took place in November of 2005 and again in 2006 & 2007. There was no Genesis event in 2008, however the company brought the ppv back in January 2009, and continued to be the kick off ppv of the year through 2013. In 2014 TNA made the decision to feature Genesis, as well as other former ppv’s, as special editions of IMPACT Wrestling on Spike TV; whom was their Television partner at the time.
It is believed that Genesis will most likely be featured again as special edition of Impact Wrestling on POP TV in 2018.
