WWE Hall Of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart Suing Doctor Over Botched 2015 Surgery
Former WWE Superstar and Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart worked most of his career with a wrist injury that he says he suffered back in 1981. The Calgary Sun is reporting that Hart has filed against plastic surgeon Dr. Justin Yeung citing that he and his medical staff failed to provide Hart with the proper medical care following surgery he performed the WWE Hall Of Famer back on November 23rd, 2015.
Hart, a former WWF and WCW World champion, claims that two weeks after the surgery he began experiencing swelling and intense pain in the area recently operated on, and that the surgery left without the use of his right index finger and thumb. Upon a follow up visit to Dr. Yeung, Hart says he was told to wait and see how it heels.
However, Hart says that he continued to experience problems with his wrist and hand throughout 2016. The issue has continued to progress since, with Hart stating that now he is unable to dress himself and take part in recreation activities, including being able to draw.
The lawsuit filed by Hart alleges that Yeung told him that he could fix the issue via a partial fusion of the wrist bones. But instead, the 2015 surgery has left him without functional use of his fingers. The lawsuit continues by claiming that Dr. Yeung and his team had “left a tourniquet on Mr. Hart’s right arm too long, such that the circulation of the nerves and tendons to his right thumb and index finger were damaged by prolonged insufficient supply of oxygen.”
