In the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer said that WWE plans on pushing Hideo Itami as the new star of 205 Live once he makes his debut.
“Hideo Itami, who is being pushed as the new star of the brand, will likely anchor the shows with Amore, and the usual crew featuring the Zo Train heels of Drew Gulak, Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari, and Noam Dar, who seems in the process of a turn; and a babyface group featuring Cedric Alexander, who has been teased for a change, Rich Swann, Mustafa Ali, and Akira Tozawa.”
Meltzer also noted that there is a good chance that WWE will use some talent the NXT roster, or try out some other main roster cruiserweights on the undercard once they launch the 205 Live brand WWE Live Events in 2018.
