Huge Backstage Update On Plans Women’s Royal Rumble Match
On last night’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, Stephanie McMahon announced the first ever all women’s Royal Rumble Match. Bryan Alvarez discussed the women’s Royal Rumble Match on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Live.
Alvarez reported that all of the women from RAW and SmackDown Live who are not champions will be involved in the match. He also noted that the vacant spots will be filled by women from NXT depending on how many are available. But this will not indicate that these NXT talents are being called up, he stated that any who appear in the match will report back to NXT following the Rumble.
There are no plans in place at the moment to bring in any former WWE Talents for the match, but that could always change. It was also speculated earlier today that rumored future WWE signee Ronda Rousey may appear or debut in the match. You can read that report here.
