On today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that former IMPACT Wrestling Star Bobby Lashley is no longer in negotiations with New Japan Pro Wrestling, and confirmed that the former WWE Superstar will be returning to the company.
Meltzer said that he has been told by individuals who work with Impact Wrestling that Lashley is indeed headed to the WWE and that his appearance could happen “at any moment”. Bobby Lashley reportedly has no contractual obligations that would be keeping him from making his appearance tonight at the Royal Rumble.
Speculation has begun that Bobby Lashley could be the mystery opponent to answer the United States Championship Open Challenge from Bobby Roode, or that he could be one of the 30 entrants in the Royal Rumble match.
