During the Universal Title match between Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman, and Kane at this past Sunday’s 2018 Royal Rumble PPV, there was a moment during the match when Braun connected with a stiff knee to the side of Brock Lesnar’s head; resulting in Brock to immediately fire back with two heavy right hands to the face of Strowman.

The incident led many to speculate that there was legitimate heat between Strowman and Lesnar.
On today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the incident. He confirmed that there is no heat between the two. Meltzer explained that if there actually was legit heat between Strowman and Lesnar, that they would not still be involved in a program together. He said that if Brock did actually have issues with Strowman, that he wouldn’t continue to put Strowman over during their segments and matches.
“If Brock wants to eat you alive, he will eat you alive.”, says Meltzer.
Meltzer also went on to state that WWE has been protecting Strowman and will continue to do so because Strowman is considered to be money.
