SPOILERS: NXT TV Tapings Night 2 From Center Stage In Atlanta, GA
WWE NXT taped a second night of TV Tapings tonight at Center Stage in Atlanta, GA on Friday night. Included during the tapings were matches for the first round of The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. As well as a match to determine the #1 Contender for Almas’ title at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans.
Results from tonight’s tapings are as follows:
These tapings were not very clear as to when certain matches and segments would air. The first three matches may we are not sure where they will air in the series of tapings.
– Kassius Ohno defeated John Skyler
– Nikki Cross defeated Vanessa Borne
This may have been a retape from last night’s match. Said to be almost the same exact match as last night, with a few minor tweaks.
– Adam Cole defeated Cesar Bononi.
During the match, Adam Cole gets on the mic and offers Bononi a spot in The Undisputed Era. O’Reilly tosses Bononi a shirt, but this gives Cole an opportunity and he jumps Bononi from behind.
February 28th Episode
– Velveteen Dream defeated Tyler Bate
– Shayna Baszler defeated Kairi Sane by submission.
– Andrade “Cien” Almas and Zelina Vega come out to the ring and make fun of “Johnny Jobless” and talk about Almas being the best NXT champ ever.
As they were leaving, Aleister Black emerges from a mist cloud. Before he could say anything, Killian Dain crashes through the barricade and confronts Black, the two squared off while Almas watches on from the stage.
Killian lays out Black while Almas escapes to the back.
March 7th Episode
– Ricochet defeated Fabian Aichner.
The highly anticipated debut of one of NXT’s newest signee’s Ricochet surprised the crowd tonight in Atlanta. He faced off against Aichner whom you may remember from the Cruiserweight Classic.
The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Round 1 Match
– AOP defeated TM61.
– Bianca Belair defeated a local enhancement talent (possibly Jo Renee? not positive)
– Tommaso Ciampa comes out, much to the displeasure of the crowd, way way over, so much heat on Ciampa. The crowd boo’d him with everything they had for a solid 10 minutes. Every time Ciampa started to speak, the crowd would boo louder, cutting him off.
Eventually, Ciampa goes to a kid at ringside and steals his Johnny Wrestling sign, tears it up, and begins to smash it with his crutch before finally leaving.
Ciampa never actually spoke a word.
– Aleister Black defeated Killian Dain
This may have been a #1 contenders match but apparently they didn’t specifically say.
March 14th Episode
The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Round 1 Match
– Street Profits defeated Heavy Machinery
– They passed out flyers to everyone in the crowd that had the Johnny Gargano emoji on it.
– Ciampa comes back out for another round of basking in the hatred of the NXT fans.
Ciampa still never says a word.
– Dakota Kai defeated Lacey Evans.
Shayna Baszler comes out and stalks Dakota Kai threatening to break her arm again, until Ember Moon comes out to make the save.
Ember and Shayna brawl while officials try to pull them apart.
Shayna was about to break Ember’s arm when Dakota makes the save this time for Moon by kicking Shayna in the head. Ember hits the eclipse on Shayna.

The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Round 1 Match
– Sanity (Eric Young & Alexander Wolfe) defeated Sabotelli & Moss
WWE UK Championship Match
– Pete Dunne defeated Adam Cole
Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish interfere, they beat down Dunne until Roderick Strong makes the save and runs The Undisputed Era off.
– Regal comes out for a contract signing for the NXT Championship at Takeover New Orleans.
Almas no shows, but Zelina Vega comes out to handle Almas’ business.
*Almas vs Black for the NXT Title is officially announced for NXT TakeOver: New Orleans.
After the signing Vega slaps Black. Black says that he’s happy Vega came alone because he didn’t.
Candice LeRae runs in and beats down Vega. Candice laid out with a tornado bulldog in the corner.
– Regal thanked everyone for coming, ending the NXT tapings in Atlanta.
Again the order of the matches and where everything would air and on which week were not very clear. We apologize if we got anything out of order.
