“Cowboy” James Storm had once been rumored to be heading back to WWE after his contract with IMPACT Wrestling expired, however now that does not appear to be the case, at least not any time soon.
On the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that there is no talk currently of WWE bringing back James Storm. Meltzer stated, “we haven’t seen any talk at this point of him to WWE,” which would indicate that there are no negotiations going on currently between the two.
James Storm wrestled for NXT back at the October 2015 tapings defeating Danny Burch. The match aired on the October 21st, 2015 episode. Storm appeared again on the December 2nd, 2015 episode defeating Adam Rose.
In late December 2015 James Storm decided not to sign with WWE opting to return instead to IMPACT Wrestling after the company offered him double of what WWE had offered him.
