Stephanie McMahon was recently interviewed by Bloomberg, during which she commented on WWE being a potential target of acquisition for big media and tech companies that are interested in live programming. It has been suggested by analyst Brandon Ross of BTIG LLC that possible buyers for WWE could be Disney, 21st Century FOX, Comcast, AT&T, and Verizon.
When Stephanie McMahon was asked about a potential sale of the company, she responded by saying “We’ve certainly thought about it. It would be foolish not too.”
In 2017 WWE generated $50.6 of net income on $800 in revenue. WWE’s stock is at an all-time high currently, while many other entertainment companies are not faring so well.
