In the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer indicated that WWE is willing to offer a deal similar to the one they offered Ronda Rousey to NFL Star Rob Gronkowski once he decides that his NFL career is over.
“… WWE is willing to offer a similar style deal to Gronkowski that they offered to Ronda Rousey. Given that would be far less than he would make in football, it’s hard to say, but he’s been hurt a lot in football, and while wrestling full-time is very hard on the body as well, a part-time deal isn’t so bad.”
It has been reported over the last few weeks that Gronkowski has been contemplating his future in the NFL. We had previously reported that a possible WWE career for Gronkowski was even discussed on The Dan Patrick Show. Gronk even has a history with the WWE as he made an appearance at WrestleMania 33 and has a well known friendship with WWE Superstar Mojo Rawley.
