WWE Drops Two PPV Events From 2018 Lineup
As was reported earlier in the day, WWE announced that they will no longer be holding brand exclusive PPV events, and that all WWE PPV’s will be dual-branded going forward.
WWE has also made numerous changes to their 2018 Pay-Per-View line-up. Where before 14 PPV Events were scheduled this year, where now the company only is listing 12. WWE has dropped their Payback PPV which was originally scheduled for May 27th, 2018 as well as their Battleground PPV which was set to take place on July 15th of this year.
Additionally the updated WWE PPV Calendar notes that No Mercy and Great Balls of Fire PPV Events from last year have be scrapped altogether. The Battleground PPV has been replaced by Extreme Rules which has moved from its original date of September 16th, up to July 15th. WWE’s Hell in a Cell PPV Event has been moved from September 30th up to September 16th.
