“Stone Cold” Steve Austin recently spoke to Chris Jericho on his “Steve Austin Show Podcast” during the interview they discussed whether or not the “Stone Cold” character would have gotten over in the PG Era of WWE.
Austin said that he believes that the character would have gotten over in the Reality/PG Era of WWE, despite how much the company micromanages everything.
“With the rule system that is in place there now, there were rules back when I was running wild there, right? But you just push the envelope due to whatever the rules structure is.”
Austin continued by saying, “People say, ‘Could Stone Cold Steve Austin get over in today’s WWE?’ Hell yeah, I could. Same rules, same guy.”
