Asuka To Face Alexa Bliss At WrestleMania 34 For RAW Women’s Title?
As seen at last night’s Elimination Chamber PPV, Asuka defeated Nia Jax in a singles match and will now go on to WrestleMania where she will either challenge for the RAW or SmackDown Live Women’s Titles.
It had been rumored that Asuka was originally scheduled to face Charlotte for the SmackDown LIVE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania. However, PWInsider instead had indicated that Asuka would be challenging Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women’s Title.
Dave Meltzer had previously stated via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Charlotte was originally slated to face Asuka, and that Nia Jax would be challenging Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania 34. This was the reason that WWE decided to add the stipulation that the winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble would have the option to choose which Champion they wanted to wrestle.
It is very possible that WWE has once again changed plans for WrestleMania, which could be the reason that Asuka may now be challenging Alexa for the RAW Title instead.
