Rey Mysterio Backstage At Tonight’s SmackDown Live Tapings – Possible Match Vs. John Cena At WrestleMania?
Former WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio who made his return to the WWE at the Royal Rumble when he was a surprise entrant in the match. It has since been reported that Mysterio and WWE have been in negotiations about a possible return for Mysterio to the company.
Last night Rey Mysterio was apparently backstage at a WWE SmackDown Live Event in San Diego, which happens to be Mysterio’s hometown. WWE Superstar Sin Cara posted a picture on his twitter account late last night following the event showing himself and Rey Mysterio hanging out.

Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso is reporting that Rey Mysterio was also in attendance tonight for the WWE SmackDown LIVE tapings in Los Angeles. Barrasso also states that Mysterio is backstage negotiating with WWE officials about a possible return to the company at WrestleMania 34.
Barrasso is also reporting that the rumored opponent in discussion for Rey Mysterio if he does return to the company would be John Cena.
Barrasso’s report states, “Breaking: Per WWE sources, Rey Mysterio is backstage working out details tonight at SmackDown for a match at WrestleMania. The rumored opponent is John Cena”
As was seen on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown LIVE, John Cena won a match against AJ Styles gaining entry into the WWE Championship Match at Fastlane, now making the match a Six-Pack Challenge for the belt.

All this is very interesting considering reports from Dave Meltzer this morning claimed that the planned match between John Cena and The Undertaker was still on for this year’s WrestleMania.
