Triple H Reportedly Misses Meeting With Rey Mysterio
PWInsider‘s Mike Johnson is reporting that Rey Mysterio was scheduled to meet with Triple H at WWE Headquarters in Stanford, Connecticut Friday prior to Mysterio’s scheduled appearance for Northeast Wrestling on Friday Night.
Mysterio appeared at Northeast Wrestling’s Wrestlefest where he worked a tag team match with Ring of Honor’s Flip Gordon against former WWE Superstar Joey Mercury and IMPACT Wrestling’s Caleb Konley. As we have been reporting, during the match Mysterio apparently suffered a torn left bicep and could miss up to six-months of action.
According to Johnson’s report the meeting apparently ended up being postponed after Triple H was needed to fly to Saudi Arabia to finalize a new contract that would see WWE locked in to produce Live Events in the country over the next decade.
Now, to us.. this report from Johnson does not make much sense. It seems a little far fetched that WWE or Triple H would not know that he would be needed to fly halfway across the world to sign a new contract in Saudi Arabia, when a meeting was already in place with Mysterio to finalize his rumored contract to return to the company. However, this is just our opinion. We will keep you updated if we receive any further details to verify Johnson’s claim.
