On today’s audio update on PWInsider Elite, Mike Johnson brought up Alberto Del Rio, or as he is now known Alberto El Patron’s contract and reports that he has heard rumors that WWE wants to bring Alberto Del Rio back to the company. The belief is that Vince McMahon really loves Del Rio and wants him back in WWE.
“There has certainly been rumblings of interest from the WWE and believe this or not I have heard there is rumblings of interest in Alberto El Patron’s return. From what I understand, Vince McMahon just loves Alberto and would love to have Alberto Del Rio back in his company, whether this happens or not, I have no idea.”
Alberto Del Rio last appeared on WWE TV back on August 16, 2016 when he was defeated by John Cena on an episode of SmackDown LIVE, and was released from the company a month later.
Alberto El Patron signed with IMPACT Wrestling back in 2017 and his contract is set to expire in April of this year. The word going around from those close to the situation believe that El Patron will be re-signing with IMPACT.
