Former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio, known now in IMPACT Wrestling and on the indy’s as Alberto El Patron, paid a visit to WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut last week.
According to a report from PWInsider, Alberto Del Rio was at WWE Headquarters to film material for an upcoming WWE project on Rey Mysterio. The report also adds that Del Rio and Vince McMahon had a meeting while he was there filming, but it is not known exactly what was discussed between the two.
The timing of this is interesting as it was reported yesterday that Vince McMahon was Alberto Del Rio back in the WWE.
Alberto Del Rio was released from the WWE back in September of 2016, and signed a contract with IMPACT Wrestling in 2017. His contract with IMPACT Wrestling is set to expire in April of this year. There were also reports yesterday that he had meetings over the weekend with IMPACT Wrestling, which were said to have gone well, and it was believed by those close to the situation that he was staying with IMPACT.
With his contract with IMPACT expiring sometime next month it will be interesting to see what decision he makes regarding his future with IMPACT or a return to the WWE.
