On today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, during their mailbag segment Dave Meltzer was asked about Hideo Itami’s contract status with WWE.
The reader pointed out that when Hideo Itami originally signed his deal with WWE, that it was for three years, and the reader asked if Itami had re-signed or not.
Meltzer could not confirm if in fact Itami had re-signed with the company, he did however indicate that he is not going anywhere right now.
“Probably, I don’t know. But he isn’t going anywhere right now.”
It had been rumored back in November of last year that when Itami’s contract was up with WWE that he could be returning to Japan. Meltzer has pretty much confirmed that is no longer a consideration, and that Itami is staying with WWE.
