Former NFL Star Signs With WWE
Former NFL Punter Pat McAfee announced today that he has signed a contract with WWE.
McAfee announced via his personal Twitter account that he has signed a contract and will be reported to NXT in what appears to be a commentary type of role.
McAfee said, “Signed a @WWE contract today… Can’t wait 2 rock the mic Wrestle Mania weekend with @WWENXT.. Living a real dream right now~> http://www.wwe.com/shows/wwenxt/article/pat-mcafee-to-join-nxt-takeover-new-orleans-pre-show-panel …”

Pat McAfee is a former NFL Punter, where he played 8 seasons in the league with the Indianapolis Colts. McAfee attended college at West Virginia University, where he spent time on the independent wrestling scene. Since retiring from the NFL McAfee has spent time performing as a comedian, as well as working for Barstool Sports.
McAfee has made appearances with NXT in the past, and he had aspired to become a professional wrestler after leaving football.
