Major Updated On WWE’s Planned UK Project
There has apparently been a lot of movement lately within the WWE UK Project.
In the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE has now booked a date in December in Margate, Kent and may have others booked as well. However, it is worth pointing out that WWE has booked dates in the past for television tapings, but the company quietly canceled them.
WWE has also renewed the contracts of five of their top UK Talents – Trent Seven, Tyler Bate, Pete Dunne, Mark Andrews, and Wolfgang. WWE has also signed Zack Gibson to their UK Project. It was also rumored that Joe Coffey had signed a UK deal with WWE, but Coffey denied those claims.
WWE is still planning on doing tapings and running a UK based promotion, with hopes of eventually opening a training center. The idea would be to bring UK based trainers to Florida and teach them the way that WWE wants their talents trained, and then have those individuals return to run it.
