Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso reported sources have indicated to him that Vince McMahon had been talking about bringing in Rey Mysterio to be Braun Strowman’s partner at WrestleMania 34.
In this week’s issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer discussed the recent claim from Justin Barrasso, and Meltzer reported that there has been no talk of Rey Mysterio being at WrestleMania 34. However, Meltzer didn’t entirely shoot down the idea.
“At press time, while he [Rey Mysterio] has been in talks with WWE, nobody had brought up him doing anything at WrestleMania. Obviously anything is possible and if WWE were to want him in that spot, he wouldn’t be adverse to it.”
It is always possible that Rey Mysterio’s status could change between now and WrestleMania 34. We will keep you updated if anything new becomes available regarding Mysterio and WWE.
