In the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer is reporting that the reason Rusev was added to the WWE United States Title Match at WrestleMania 34 was attributed to his massive merchandise sales lately.
Rusev was originally scheduled to be a part of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, however WWE changed their plans and announced on last week’s SmackDown LIVE that he has instead been added to the United States Championship Match now making it a Fatal 4-Way Match.
The WWE United States Championship match at WrestleMania 34 will now see Randy Orton defending his title against Bobby Roode, Jinder Mahal, and Rusev.
