On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Dave Meltzer indicated that Shane McMahon will in fact be at WrestleMania 34, despite being hospitalized recently for diverticulitis and still suffering from a hernia that will require surgery, which he is apparently putting off until after the Pay-Per-View.
The belief is that Shane plans to work through the injuries and decided to put off surgery because “it’s WrestleMania.”
Regarding earlier speculation that the reported umbilical hernia that Shane McMahon has suffered is a work by WWE, Meltzer said that he asked around within WWE and confirmed that it was a legit injury. The only detail of the story that could be a work, is the fact that Shane suffered the injury during the beatdown on SmackDown LIVE at the hands of Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn.
