Batista Under The Impression He Was Competing At WrestleMania As Late As January
It was reported in this week’s issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that former WWE Superstar Batista had been saying that he was going to have a match at WrestleMania and that he was originally slated to be Ronda Rousey’s partner.
Pro Wrestling Sheet has expanded on the original report by stating that Batista was under the impression that he would be participating in the Mixed Tag Team Match as late as January. However, after having multiple conversations with WWE about being Rousey’s tag team partner, nobody from the company called him back.
After failing to hear back from Triple H, or anyone within WWE it is being said that the next time Batista heard any news regarding Ronda Rousey’s Mixed Tag Team Match at WrestleMania 34 was when Kurt Angle was announced on RAW as her partner.
It was believed that the plan at the time was to set up a future match at WrestleMania 35 between Triple H and Batista, however those plans now seem to have been shelved after Batista’s exclusion from this year’s WrestleMania card.
