Speculation On Potential Heel Turn At WrestleMania 34
Sports Illustrated‘s Justin Barrasso has speculated in this week’s SI Wrestling Update that either Daniel Bryan or Shane McMahon could turn heel during Sunday’s WrestleMania 34 PPV. Barrasso predicts that it will be Shane McMahon to turn, so that it positions Daniel Bryan as a significant underdog against the “authority figure”.
“The show is expected to exceed the length of an average school day and run for seven hours, and the crowd could riot if Bryan turns heel.
I do expect there to be a heel turn in the Bryan/McMahon tag against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, but the swerve has to be McMahon turning heel. In addition to completely rejuvenating McMahons character, this also allows the company to re-insert Bryan as the ultimate underdog trying to overcome the authority. That served as the formula for success, and there is no need to stray from such a lucrative storyline.”
While we want to point out that this is merely speculation from Barrasso, however there are many others in the business who have also predicted that Shane McMahon could turn on Daniel Bryan Sunday.
