Possible Reason Why Brock Lesnar Keeps Teasing A UFC Return
During the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer gave more insight into the reason that Brock Lesnar may have been teasing a return to the UFC to help gain leverage in his contract negotiations with WWE.
Meltzer points out that while the details of his new deal are not currently known, what is known is that it is not an extension of his previous deal but a new deal altogether at a higher rate. Meltzer also adds that every time Brock Lesnar mentioned that he wanted to return to the UFC that Vince McMahon kept upping the rate.
“[Brock] signed a new contract this is not an extension, this is a new contract at a higher rate. I don’t know that it’s only one match, I don’t know if it’s more than one match. I think we will probably know after that match what it is. Right now as far as what happens after, they may just go through the whole thing again and play both sides against each other and see what develops.”
“I get the impression that I’m sure they want everyone to have is that he is very willing and wanting to go to UFC, because every time he said that, Vince ups the money. So we’ll see what happens.”
