Paul Ellering Comments On Rumors Behind Reason For Split With Authors Of Pain
As seen this past week’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, former NXT Tag Team Champions and past winners of the Dust Rhodes Tag Team Classic, The Authors of Pain made their main roster debut alongside their manager WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering.
Following the victory over Heath Slater & Rhyno in their debut match, The Authors of Pain – Akam & Rezar seemed to have abandoned their manager Paul Ellering when they left him standing at ringside while they celebrated alone at the top of the stage. This led to speculation as to why WWE decided to split the team from their Hall of Fame manager. Reports came out that the potential reason could have been that Ellering was not comfortable with the increased workload and travel schedule associated with a main roster call-up.
Ellering has spoken out for the first time since being dumped by the Authors of Pain on Monday’s RAW and addressed the rumors regarding his issues with increased travel. Ellering stated via his twitter account about the reports of his issues with travel by saying, “For the record…I love traveling. I have seen this road before. My ♞ Algorithm for greatness stands the test of time. @WWENXT @WWENetwork @WWEUniverse #Champions”
