Top Independent Star Heading To WWE?
Rumors continue to circulate regarding former WWN Champion Keith Lee after he gave what appeared to be a farewell speech last Friday night in Chicago at AAW’s Never Say Die event. Thus, once again stirring up rumors that the Independent Star could be heading to the WWE.
Rumors began again last weekend when Lee dropped the WWNLive Title to Austin Theory at EVOLVE 103 during WrestleMania Weekend in New Orleans, that he might be WWE bound. Keith Lee was also featured in a match at WWE’s WrestleMania Axxess event over the weekend when he was victorious in a match against NXT Superstar Kassius Ohno.

To add further speculation as to the future of Keith Lee, a fan recently tweeted Lee saying that they would probably cry if Lee ever ended up in WWE, to which Lee replied, “Hmm, what put this on your mind? I’d say this. If one phrase holds true in wrestling, it’s “Never say never.” Only time unveils what the future holds. Until then, we continue to grind 😁😁”

It was reported back in March via the Wrestling Observer that WWE was interested in Lee, and that they had even offered him a spot to begin training at the Performance Center in May. Adding fuel to the rumors, at the time Lee had apparently been turning down bookings to appear around the same time that the rumored offer to begin training with WWE supposedly stated.
