As seen on last night’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, Jinder Mahal was selected as the first draft pick for RAW in the 2018 WWE Superstar Shakeup.
While Jinder Mahal may have lost his United States title last night to Jeff Hardy, Dave Meltzer discussed Jinder’s addition to the RAW roster on today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer noted that it appears as though a push is in store for Jinder upon his arrival on the RAW roster, although it might not be an easy task getting him over.
Regarding Jinder Mahal’s move to the RAW roster, Meltzer said:
“I don’t know if Jinder is that big of a thing either way, they’ll probably push him a little bit but it’s going to be tough. I mean his programs aren’t usually very good so I don’t know if that’s really a positive [thing for Raw]”
