This year’s WWE Superstar Shakeup has came and went, and we saw lots of WWE Superstars swap brands or be called up to the main roster. One name that had been rumored to possibly be getting called up that obviously didn’t is Velveteen Dream.
Velveteen Dream was discussed on the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, and Dave Meltzer mentions that it appears as though the timing just wasn’t right for Dream to be called up to the main roster. Regarding Dream’s rumored call up, Meltzer said:
“So everyone else who was expected to come up, came up. [Velveteen Dream] was like a 50/50. I thought it was too early for him, I think I said that — so it doesn’t look like [it], so it may be a while before he’s brought up for all we know. But it doesn’t look like it’s going to be right away.”
So it appears as though The Velveteen Dream will remain in NXT for awhile longer. We will keep updated if any more news regarding The Velveteen Dream becomes known.
