As you may know, WWE Superstar Neville has been absent from WWE programming for some time now. Neville had been unhappy with his status within the company and had sought a release from his contract.
Mike Johnson gave an updated on Neville’s status with WWE on a recent audio update via PWInsider Elite. Johnson was asked about Neville and mentioned that he has been sitting at home since WWE is refusing to release him from his contract.
Regarding Neville’s WWE status, Mike Johnson said:
“Yeah, he’s hanging out at home, waiting to figure out how he’s going to get out of his WWE contract. Or if he’s going to come up with some way to come back to WWE. We’ll see if that ever happens.”
It is believed that while Neville has been away from WWE TV that the company most-likely has put a freeze on his contract while he has been missing contractual dates. WWE did the same thing with Daniel Bryan and Rey Mysterio when those Superstars missed a significant amount of time while under contract. If Neville does decide to come back to the company, he will more than likely have to make up for the time that he has missed during his “dispute” with WWE.
