Big Change Coming To All WWE PPV’s
Now that all WWE PPV’s will be co-branded going forward featuring talents from both RAW & SmackDown LIVE, many fans have wondered how that would effect the length of future WWE Pay-Per-Views. According to a report from PWInsider it appears as though all WWE PPV’s will begin an hour earlier starting with Money in the Bank on June 17th. This will allow for a longer runtime giving the company the opportunity to feature WWE Superstars in longer matches, or allow for more matches to be added to the card giving more talents a chance to perform on PPV.
Mike Johnson reported that “several sources” have told him that WWE has reached out to international broadcast partners, which would include SkyTV and InDemand PPV, to inform them of the change in start and run times for future PPV’s. PPV’s will now begin at 7 PM EST, with the Kickoff Show set to start an hour prior at 6 PM EST.
The report also added that all future WWE PPV’s may run as long as four hours, with the company’s “cornerstone” or “Big 5” events possible running even longer.
InDemand’s website is already showing the change, listing the start time for Money in the Bank as being 6:30 PM EST as they carry the final 30 minutes of the Kickoff Show prior to the start of the PPV.
