Possible Spoilers For Tonight’s SmackDown Live & Money In The Bank Ladder Match
WrestleVotes is reporting on a potential spoiler for tonight’s episode of SmackDown LIVE that will also impact the MITB Ladder Match at the upcoming Money in the Bank PPV on June 17th.
As you may already know, it was announced yesterday by SmackDown Live GM Paige that due to an injury sustained by Big Cass (storyline), that Daniel Bryan will face United States Champion Jeff Hardy on tonight’s episode of SmackDown in a second chance match.
The winner will face Samoa Joe next week for an opportunity to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder match.
You can see Paige’s announcement regarding the change for tonight’s episode of SmackDown, and MITB qualifier on her twitter account embedded below:
Due to @BigCassWWE injury, @WWEDanielBryan will face @JEFFHARDYBRAND tomorrow night on #SDLive in a second chance match…
The winner will face @SamoaJoe NEXT WEEK for an opportunity to qualify and enter the Men’s #MITB Ladder Match.

According to WrestleVotes, WWE had plans in place as of last week to have a United States Title match at the Money in the Bank PPV next month. Barring in changes in plans it would appear as though Jeff Hardy will be defending his title on the show instead of participating in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. This would indicate that Daniel Bryan will go on to face Joe next week for the spot in the MITB ladder match.
Although it is always possible that WWE could do an angle where Bryan loses the match tonight, only to have Jeff Hardy lose next week against Samoa Joe.
You can see WrestleVotes tweet regarding the potential spoiler for tonight’s SmackDown and MITB below:
Regarding Smackdown tonight, as of last week a US Title match was planned for Money In The Bank. With that said, I’m not expecting a Jeff Hardy win tonight unless those prior MITB plans have changed. I guess he could theoretically win & lose to Joe next week but we’ll see.
