Potential Reason Why WWE Has Yet To Make Any Major Roster Cuts This Year
So far this year there have yet to be any major talent cuts by WWE, and there may be a reason outside of the company playing a factor into this decision by WWE to hold off any any releases.
One reason could have been the Greatest Royal Rumble event last month, however WrestleVotes is indicating that there could have been another variable to consider as to why WWE has yet to release any of their key talents. It was noted that most WWE contracts still have a 90 day no compete clause in them, so if there are going to be releases most likely the will come after June 4th.
Why June 4th? Well, any talent released prior to that date would have their 90 day no compete clause expire before the beginning of September.. There just so happens to be a show running on September 1st in Chicago, you may have heard of it, it’s being called All In.
While they pointed out that this was merely an opinion and not a fact, it is very interesting to consider. You can see WrestleVotes tweet regarding WWE Talent cuts embedded below:
This came up in conversation last night w/ well placed source (their opinion & not fact) said it’s interesting no roster cuts YET this year. Most contracts still have 90 day no compete clause. Look for any releases (IF they are coming) after June 4th. Read between the lines here.
