John Cena And Ford Motor Company Reach Settlement
Ford Motor Company sued WWE Superstar John Cena last year for selling the custom Ford GT car a month after receiving the keys.
According to Ford Motor Company, Cena was in contract with the company, and had agreed to keep the GT car for at least two years. Once the two years had past, he would be allowed to hand over the keys to someone else. However, the 16-time WWE Champion John Cena ignored the terms stated in the contract, and sold it to someone else for a hefty amount.
Cena told the court that he was not aware of the no-sale stipulation and that nobody told him anything about the two years of ownership requirement clause in the contract.
John Cena’s attorney and Ford Motor Company representatives have reached a settlement in the court.
The former WWE Champion asked the Ford company to donate the undisclosed settlement amount to charity.
