Possible Reasons Why Seth Rollins Dropped The Intercontinental Title On RAW
Seth Rollins lost the WWE Intercontinental Title to Dolph Ziggler on this past episode of Monday Night RAW.
A lot of people were shocked why WWE officials decided to end Seth Rollins’ reign as IC Champion.
The Wrestling Observer‘s Dave Meltzer has shared his opinion on Seth Rollins dropping the IC title to Ziggler.
Meltzer said, “I mean it’s possible [he could win the title back] I don’t know. I kind of like the idea of him not winning the title back and going in that main event multiple-person match. I think when they announced a multiple-person match I thought that was very good for Rollins because #1 he’s been the best guy so he would help the match and #2 he’s the hottest guy right now although Strowman’s pretty hot. But I think that it would be good for him to be in that match.”
Author’s Take
I think Dave Meltzer is wrong because RAW and Smackdown are facing rating issues. WWE RAW’s viewership has dropped, and it is common for Smackdown to experience viewership drops, but it’s unusual for the RAW to see viewership drops.
The WWE wants to make unpredictable decisions, and they also want to keep Dolph Ziggler happy.
