Update On Bray Wyatt’s Status For Extreme Rules After Being Injured In Car Crash
It was first reported by WWE earlier in the week that Bray Wyatt had suffered multiple injuries while being involved in an automobile accident last weekend. Wyatt was also cited by police for “careless driving due to his failure to operate his vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.”
Wyatt was involved in a 3-car crash last Friday in Tampa, where he suffered multiple injuries and was transported to Tampa General Hospital via ambulance. Wyatt missed some WWE Live Events because of the accident, include this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.
Wyatt’s injuries were discussed on today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. Dave Meltzer mentioned on the show that Bray is expected to return in time for Extreme Rules and should be fine for the scheduled RAW Tag Team Championship Match against “The B-Team”.
“Bray Wyatt, they expect him at the pay-per-view. He’s in the tag team championship match. Him & Matt Hardy against Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel. I don’t think he’s going to be at the house shows this weekend but they’re hopeful for him. He’s meeting with a doctor on Friday, which means they are hopeful for him on Monday at TV I guess.”
