As you may already know, Brock Lesnar appeared at last night’s UFC 226 following the main event between Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic, which saw Cormier victorious becoming the new UFC Heavyweight Champion.
Following the fight Cormier called out WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, who was cageside for the fight. Lesnar entered the cage, and the two got physical and exchanged words.
WWE has commented on the appearance of their Universal Champion at last night’s UFC 226 and have questioned Lesnar’s future with the company. You can see the statement from WWE below.
“Cameras caught reigning Universal Champion Brock Lesnar cageside for the main event of UFC 226 between Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic and challenger Daniel Cormier. Speculation has run rampant over Lesnar’s future for much of this year, starting with Lesnar posing for photos next to UFC President Dana White on the night of WWE Elimination Chamber 2018. Lesnar last competed in UFC in July 2016.
Weeks ago, Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman revealed that The Beast’s next Universal Title defense was facing contractual issues due to a lack of confidence in WWE to find a suitable challenger. Lesnar last appeared on WWE TV at the Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27, where he retained the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns.
