Major Rumor Regarding Possible Spoiler For Closing Of SummerSlam Main Event
As seen on this week’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, it was announced that Roman Reigns will wrestle Bobby Lashley on next week’s RAW, where the winner will receive the opportunity to challenge WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar for the title at this year’s SummerSlam.
Barn Burner‘s Joseph Peisech mentioned on the most recent episode of their “No Holds Barred” podcast that there is a rumor going around involving plans for a triple threat match between Lesnar, Lashley and Reigns at SummerSlam for the WWE Universal Championship which would see Hulk Hogan serve as the match’s special enforcer.
The report went on to note that the company plans to have this year’s SummerSlam PPV close with Hulk Hogan raising the hand of Bobby Lashley as the broadcast goes off the air.
Regarding the rumor, Peisech said:
“Apparently that’s going to lead to a three-way dance at SummerSlam. Hulk Hogan will be the special referee/enforcer person outside the ring or whatever. Basically Hulk Hogan was WWE wrestling. He made WWE/WWF into the popularity it was. How about Hogan costing Brock Lesnar. Lesnar goes to the UFC making Bobby Lashley win the Universal Title and at the end of the night — rumor has it and I have not confirmed this yet, the plan going around is that Hogan raising up Bobby Lashley’s hand. Of course Bobby Lashley will be the first black Universal Champion. Hogan raising up his hand.”
