Update On Speculation On Announcement Of An All Women’s WWE PPV
As has been reported and speculated on all week, Stephanie McMahon is scheduled to appear on tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW to deliver a “Historic Announcement.”
It has been rumored that the announcement is expected to be either the introduction of Women’s Tag Team Titles, which will be defended across all WWE Brands, or the announcement of an “All Women’s PPV” which has been rumored to take place in Long Island.
Stephanie’s announcement was discussed on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, and Dave Meltzer noted that he has also heard of the rumors of both potential announcements. Meltzer stated that if it is in fact an all women’s ppv, that it would include women from NXT as well.
“Ther have definitely been rumors about an all-women pay-per-view which would include NXT women. Because I don’t think there’s enough to pull off a full pay-per-view. They have some really good women in NXT. The thing is the rumor is it will be in October because there’s not pay-per-view except for the Austrailia show and the Austrailia show is in the middle of the night. So it adds up that you would do something in October.”
It was also pointed out that the PPV could include the finals of this year’s Mae Young Classic as well.
