Former IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion Chelsea Green, formerly known in IMPACT as Laurel Van Ness, has been rumored to be WWE bound after her recent tryout with the company.
Speculation began to spread after Green recently had to pull out of some bookings she had taken in the UK, which led to many to assume that the reason was WWE related. However, that was not the case, although that does not mean she hasn’t signed and isn’t headed to WWE either.
The real reason Green was forced to remove herself from the independent UK bookings was due to issues with travel stemming from Visa problems because she is Canadian. Dave Meltzer discussed Green being pulled from the UK dates on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.
Regarding Chelsea Green’s recent UK dates and WWE situation, Meltzer said:
“So nobody’s allowed to say — it’s the same thing with Matt Riddle. I don’t know that she’s WWE bound. I think that there is a good chance that she is. But the dates that she canceled were due to a Visa issue because there’s an issue because she’s Canadian.”
“There are Visa issues to work out so she did have to cancel dates in Europe which did not have to do with WWE. But she did just have a WWE tryout. And I would be — I mean you never know. But I would be very surprised if she didn’t get hired because she’s very good.”
