WWE Planning On Bringing Starrcade Back As A PPV Not A House Show?
As we have previously reported, WWE filed for the trademark to the name “Starrcade” back on July 17th. WWE ran a house show in Greensboro, North Carolina last November using the name, and it had been rumored that the company planned to use the name for more events going forward.
Our friends at the No Holds Barred Podcast discussed the topic on their latest episode, and provided an update. Joseph Peisich reported that WWE may be bringing the event back but not as a house show this time, but instead as a WWE PPV Event. He added that the event would probably be held in February instead of November.
Peisich stated:
“Now I hear that Starrcade may be February’s pay-per-view.”
Obviously nothing has been confirmed or announced yet, so plans are up in the air. But we will keep you posted if any more information about WWE’s plans on bringing back the classic WCW PPV.
