Possibility Of A Match Between The Rock And Roman Reigns At WrestleMania 35?
It’s being reported that The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, is interested in working WrestleMania 35 next year.
With those reports going around, it has began to fuel the fire as to who The Rock would face, or what his involvement in the event would be. It’s been said that The Rock wants to wrestle, and Dave Meltzer commented on the possibility of a match at WrestleMania 35 on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer stated that the match would make perfect sense, being that The Rock has known Reigns since birth and that he would have no problem doing the job to help put Reigns over on such a big stage like Wrestle Mania.
Regarding The Rock wrestling Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 35, Meltzer said:
“The idea being to share the ring at WrestleMania in front of — this Newark WrestleMania too so it’s a legitimate 80,000 people. Not that the difference between 60 and 75,000 means anything but it’s still bigger being a New York WrestleMania. So you know, knowing his mentality and stuff I can see that I feel that could be something to appeal to him you know.”
“Again, for Roman Reigns if they’re wanting to get Roman Reigns over big, The Rock will do the job for him that’s not even a question and in their minds if they want to get Roman Reigns over as this big Superstar you know that’s a match that makes sense from everyone’s perspective.”
“I’m not saying they’re going to do it, I have not heard anything from the company saying that but when that match was thrown at me I started thinking it makes sense from every perspective.”
