As we have previously reported WWE offered a new contract to Rey Mysterio, but Mysterio does not want to play the role of talent enhancer in his last wrestling days.
Our sources told us that Mysterio wants to end his career in WWE, and in his final days, he wants to leave a greater legacy of a Masked Lucha star, and continue the tradition. He also wants to break the myth that the mask is coming in their way to success.
In an Interview with Rey Mysterio at the San Diego Comic-Con with Mick Foley’s daughter, Noelle, he confirmed that he wants to end his career in WWE, and his wrestling days are numbered.
“It is in my agenda; I would definitely love to close out my career with WWE. With that being said, I don’t have much left on my watch.
So, I’m thinking anywhere from three to five years, and I really can see a possible return to the WWE, without a doubt! You gotta close a chapter right, so, I think that’s the proper way to end my career.”
